Domestic Violence During Covid-19
Economic self-sufficiency is a major component in violence prevention. For many individuals who experience IPV, the monetary entrapment with an abusive partner is too complicated to sever without another avenue of economic stability.
Covid-19 has intensified financial constraints by causing increased job loss and unemployment, particularly among women of color, immigrants, and workers without higher education. (Evans, et al, 2020)
